Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-05

By using Ushkur you accept these terms. They are written in plain language.

The service

Ushkur is a simple notebook that works with just a key. The service is free for now and is provided “as is”: there is no guarantee that it will run without interruption or errors. We can change, limit or stop the service.

Your account and key

  • Your account is opened only with your key. Anyone who knows the key can reach your notes, so do not share it.
  • If the key is lost it cannot be recovered and we cannot reset it. This is your responsibility.
  • You can change your key at any time in the account menu.

Your content

The notes you write are yours. We do not use them for anything except providing the service, we do not sell them and we do not share them with anyone unless the law requires it.

You are responsible for what you store. Do not use the service to store content that breaks the law.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Harm the service or try to reach other people's accounts.
  • Abuse the service, for example by guessing keys, creating accounts automatically or trying to get around rate limits.
  • Overload the service.
  • Try to get around the bot check (Turnstile).

Limits

At most 2,000 notes, 50 categories and 50 MB per account; one note's text can be up to 500 KB. Notes in the trash count toward the limits.

We limit the number of requests to prevent abuse. Saving or searching can pause for a while because of maintenance or a daily usage limit.

Removal and suspension

We can limit or delete accounts that break these terms or the law, or that harm the service, without prior notice.

Data loss and backups

We do our best to protect your notes, but we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost. Keep a separate copy of important notes. There is no bulk export, but you can copy a note's text.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect damages, data loss or a lost key arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the service. This does not affect liability that cannot be limited by law (for example intent and gross negligence).

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the account menu. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Changes

We may change these terms. The current version is on this page with its last updated date. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new version.

Governing law

The laws of the Republic of Türkiye apply to these terms.
